Forest bathing. Shinrin-yoku. Forest therapy. The practice goes by many names, but what they all have in common is the idea that our health and wellness are enhanced when we spend time in the forest, especially when we take the time to move mindfully, opening our senses and being present to the nature that surrounds us.
Leona Campbell of Wind in Pines LLC offers public and private forest bathing walks near Denver, Colorado. She is a certified Forest Therapy Guide through the Association for Nature and Forest Therapy (ANFT). Walks typically take place within about an hour’s drive from Denver, and last 2-4 hours.
Hi! I’m your guide, Leona. As someone whose idea of a vacation usually includes at least a week-long trek in the back country, I have to admit that I didn’t initially think that forest therapy would have much to offer me in terms of enhancing my own relationship to nature. Surely it wasn’t much different than what I was already doing when I spent time in nature?
Whether you just started dating, or have been together for decades, a private forest bathing walk can be a wonderful way to reconnect with both nature and each other.
In addition to my public walks, I also offer private walks for individuals, families, events, or corporate groups.
